Who we are?

Our History

El Minuto de Dios is a non-profit social and evangelizing organization founded by Father Rafael García Herreros, a Colombian Catholic priest. It originated from a television program of the same name, first broadcast in January 1955 in Bogotá, Colombia.
The organization is committed to promoting human dignity and the integral and sustainable development of individuals, communities, and territories.

On several occasions, with the support of Colombians living in the United States, Father García Herreros organized the “Million Banquets” in cities such as Washington, New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, Miami, Tampa, and West Palm Beach, as well as in Toronto and Montreal in Canada.
In 2003, under the leadership of Father Diego Jaramillo and Father Camilo Bernal, Minuto de Dios Corporation was established in the United States, under the laws of the State of Florida, with the purpose of managing resources from that country to support El Minuto de Dios’ social programs in Colombia.
