The Cause of Beatification and Canonization of the Servant of God Rafael García Herreros is advancing in Colombia — founder of the social and evangelizing work “El Minuto de Dios” (A Minute with God), who provided housing to more than 50,000 families in Colombia, education to more than 100,000 young people, and who also contributed to social development and the building of peace in this country.
For Father García Herreros to be declared Venerable, the Church must recognize that he lived the Christian virtues in a heroic manner. For Beatification, the recognition of a miracle occurring after his death is required. And for Canonization (the final stage), a second miracle — occurring after his beatification — must be recognized.
